On Sunday, 5 January we will be celebrating Twelfth Night in our Bayleaf Farmstead.

See the house come to life as our interpretation team will spend the morning getting the house ready for their annual celebration.
Watch as food is prepared in Winkhurst Kitchen, the table till be set in Bayleaf and other members of the household will be demonstrating some essential work that they may have carried out.
With Twelfth Night being the pinnacle of the 12 days of Christmas and the Eve of Epiphany, they will be celebrating the coming of the Magi to bring gifts to Jesus. The meal will take place at around 1pm, with the whole household joining together at the two tables in the Hall. There will also be some jollity after, envoking the Lord of Misrule, as whoever finds a token in their price of the cake will be able to order the others around, whether they be Master or Servant!
On this day, we will also be welcoming Farnborough Mummers to the Museum, where they will be performing in front of Titchfield Market Hall at 11.30am and 2pm.
