Christmas Lights Switch-on

Chichester BID is looking for a special someone to switch on the Chichester Christmas Lights on Saturday 26th November at 5pm.

Nominate your real life superhero to light-up the city for Christmas here.

Following the success of last year's “Light-Up Chichester” Competition Chichester BID is once again inviting people to nominate someone from their local community who has ‘lit up their lives’ in the past year. This could be a family member, friend, neighbour, NHS worker, teacher or community champion who has made a real difference and deserves recognition.

A panel of judges, including a V2 Radio Presenter, and representatives from Chichester BID & The Rotary Clubs of Chichester, will select the winning entry.

You have until midnight on Monday 31st October 2022 to enter your nomination. Judging will take place on the 1st of November, with the winner being contacted the following day.

This Christmas season will see a fantastic programme of enchanting Christmas lights in the city as well as an exciting array of events & entertainment, organised by Chichester BID on behalf of the city centre businesses. With the return of a traditional Christmas Market in the city, there will also be free festive family activities, twilight shopping, a new Christmas trail and more.

The Christmas Elf

We need you to name the Chichester Christmas Elf!

Brand new Christmas lights will adorn the streets of Chichester this year, including a fun Christmas Character Light Trail. Chichester BID has given V2 Radio the important job of naming one of the six characters on the trail, and we would love for one of our listeners to name the Christmas Elf.
