Sussex Police have shared a video of a thief using bolt cutters to steal a bike in Worthing.
The footage was captured by Splashpoint’s CCTV – and is just one offence committed by Dean Haggerty, who has since been jailed for year.
The 48-year-old has also stolen 5 other bikes in Worthing and shoplifted multiple times.
Inspector Sharon Sawyer, of the Adur and Worthing Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Bike thefts have been a particular issue in Worthing this past year, and this case provides some reassurance that one of those thieves has been locked up.”
This video shows the moment a prolific thief uses bolt cutters to steal a bike which was locked up outside a leisure centre.
