Bognor crash kills 83-year-old man

Police are now appealing for witnesses of the crash

An 83-year-old man has died following a fatal collision in Bognor. 

The elderly man crashed into The Esplanade's sea wall in the early hours of September the 12th. Paramedics attended the incident, however the victim was pronounced dead at the scene after being removed from the car. 

The police have informed the man's family and have since opened an appeal for witnesses. They add that the man was driving a white Fiat 500, with the crash occurring at around 3:50am.

They ask for anyone who may have see the crash to email collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk quoting "Operation Welbeck".
