Tonight, will see the launch of Bognor’s Got Talent - A brand-new talent show seeking to uncover the next big thing to come out of the South Coast.
Bognor’s Got Talent will involve over 40 acts competing over the course of six weeks to be crowned the winning act.
It is taking place at Venue 24 on Bognor Regis Pier, a new premium live entertainment venue which opened in September where Sheiks Nightclub used to be located.
Hopeful acts who have applied in advance will perform in front of the audience on the night in their attempt to impress the three judges and secure their place in the Grand Final, which is taking place on Sunday 22nd December. Supported by Butlin’s, the winning act will not only win a cash prize but will also be given the opportunity to perform live on stage at both Venue 24 and at Butlin’s Bognor Regis Resort.
The head judge is West Sussex County Councillor Gary Markwell who said “We’re hoping to discover a hidden talent in Bognor Regis who can use this experience as a stepping stone to launch a career. Having seen videos sent in by some of the acts already, we have some fantastic acts entering the competition and I’m really excited to see who will be crowned the winner of the first annual Bognor’s Got Talent”.
The audition shows will be taking place from tonight for four weeks and are free entry events for audiences to watch and cheer on the acts.
