Fire in Worthing tanning salon

Fire crews are investigating the cause of a fire that broke out last night at a tanning salon in Worthing.

Images from Broadwater Street show thick smoke billowing out of the building’s ground-floor entrance.

In a statement on X at around 11:30pm last night West Sussex Fire and Rescue said: "We are at the scene of a fire involving a property on Broadwater St in Worthing. Crews from @WestSussexFire and @EastSussexFRS are in attendance. If you live nearby please keep your doors and windows closed. Please avoid the area to allow firefighters to work safely."

Investigations are now underway into what caused the blaze; stay tuned to V2 Radio for the very latest.
