Fitness coach Neil Cockcroft has announced that, after 15-years at the Rocks, he wants to pursue another career.

Cockcroft, who is popular with both fans and backroom staff alike, will attend his last game as part of the Rock's team on Saturday, September 24, when Town host Wingate and Finchley.

It's been announced that Cockcroft's new job involves working as a safety officer on cruise ships for company Carnival UK. This means that he won't be able to devote the time needed to be a part of Robbie Blake's backroom team.

Over his fifteen years at the Rocks, Cockcroft has been a part of almost 750 games as a fitness coach.

He said: "I spent 19 years in the military, and 20 years teaching. For my last job, I'm going to put the two together!"

He added: "I'd like to thank supporters because they've always been really good to me. I really enjoyed my time and I wish Robbie and Jamie (Howell) all the best. I really do believe the club is going in the right direction!"

Neil made the switch to Nyewood Lane in 2007 when Darin Killpatrick took on the responsibilites of managerial duties.
