Littlehampton charity 10k returns for 19th year

The run will support local children's hospice Chestnut Tree House

The Littlehampton Charity 10k is set to return for its 19th year in support of Chestnut Tree House.

Taking place on a route that begins in central Littlehampton, runners will speed through Rustington streets on the 4th of September, finishing at the seafront to raise money for the local children's hospice. The race will begin at 9:15am and participants will be sent off in 'waves' to ensure they all get a "proper send off", according to the charity.

Registration for the event closes next Tuesday the 30th August at 12:00pm, and tickets cost £25 including a medal and free refreshments for the end of the race. The Chestnut Tree house website shared where the funds will go towards, with just £50 meaning a child can enjoy a "magical hour" in their "multisensory room with a specially trained team member".

Events Fundraiser for Chestnut Tree House, Andrew Battley, said: "The Littlehampton 10k is very special to Chestnut Tree House as it was our original fundraising event which has been running as long as we have.

"Chestnut Tree House relies on the support and generosity of people like you to help make children's hospice care possible. So, please sign up today and make a big difference to children and families in your local community."
