The car hit the bus during a police chase yesterday
A man has suffered a serious leg injury following a police chase which saw his car collide with a bus.
The man was hospitalised after being arrested on suspicious of dangerous driving as he attempted to evade police on the A259 yesterday. His vehicle hit a local bus during the pursuit at around 2:15 yesterday afternoon.
In a statement, Sussex Police said that the incident happened after "The vehicle had been picked up by police cameras, failed to stop when directed and attempted to escape officers while driving dangerously."
The road was closed up to the Flansham Roundabout as emergency services worked at the scene, however it has now reopened fully.
