An 8-point-2-million-pound programme to drive down the carbon footprint of 14 West Sussex County Council buildings has been finished.
The programme has been supported by some funding from the government’s Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme.
Seven libraries, six fire stations, and a day centre across the county have installed a range of measures to make the buildings more environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
A number of libraries, fire stations, and a day centre in the county have benefited from improving insulation, installing solar panels, and using air-source heat pumps.
