MP for East Worthing and Shoreham will continue fighting for human rights

Tim Loughton - Conservative MP for East Worthing and Shoreham

The Conservative MP for East Worthing and Shoreham says he will continue to use his platform to raise awareness of human rights, despite being deported from Djibouti.

Tim Loughton believes he was stopped from entering the region because of the country's close ties with China.

He's among a group of British MPs sanctioned by Beijing for highlighting alleged human rights abuses.

China's foreign office says Mr Loughton's accusations were baseless.
