Portsmouth South MP Stephen Morgan has started a new campaign to tackle NHS waiting lists, highlighting the growing number of people facing long delays for treatment.

This week, he's urging Portsmouth residents to sign his online petition to support his plan to reduce waiting times.

Commenting, Portsmouth South MP Stephen Morgan said: “After 14 years of the Tories, our NHS is on the brink and Portsmouth people are paying the price, with thousands across our city stuck on waiting lists.

“The new Labour government is taking immediate action to cut waiting times by ending the strikes which affected so many, and with 40,000 more evening and weekend appointments each week, paid for by cracking down on tax avoidance and non-dom loopholes.

“I am asking Portsmouth people to show their support for these positive plans to undo the damage which the Tories inflicted on our local NHS, to get it back on its feet and make it fit so it is there for us all in when we need it.”
