The consultation is part of the ongoing feedback and community engagement
The Rampion 2 project has opened up a six week public consultation along with the local council to allow feedback from Bognor Regis Residents on the proposed on-shore cable route changes.
To date, the company have had over twelve thousand visits to their website feedback form and over one thousand written responses and thank the community for their input. As part of the process of ongoing feedback and community engagement the team have already revised initial plans as a result, and made alterations to plans which include cutting the number of turbines from 118 to 90 .
The renewable energy station proposed for the West Sussex coastline will potentially be classified as a nationally significant infrastructure project due to its capacity to deliver large amounts of electricity creating 1,200MW (Megawatts) of power the equivalent of 1 million homes.
