Residents urged to join a community day litter pick in Arun district

It's taking place on Thursday 25th August in Bognor Regis and Wick.

Local residents are being urged to become 'community superheroes' and join a community day litter pick in Arun district.

It's taking place next Thursday, 25th August, in both Bognor Regis and Wick.

In Bognor, it's happening from 10am to 12pm, with the meeting point being next to the walled mural on the corner of Sycamore Road and Laurel Grove, Bognor Regis PO22 9JR.

Then in the afternoon, there's a litter pick in Wick from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, the meeting point for that one is Chilgrove House, Wick, BN17 7JD. 

All equipment and free refreshments will be provided with a choice of superhero masks for children, who must be accompanied by an adult.

As well as the litter pick, on the same day there'll also be a 'bulky waste collection' available in the car park behind Houghton house in Wick and in front of the walled mural in Bognor Regis. 

Items they CANNOT take are:

  • Tins of paint
  • Gas bottles
  • Sheets of glass
  • Plasterboard
  • Asbestos
  • Storage heaters fluorescent tubes Chemicals
  • Oil or chemical drums Trailers
  • Boats
  • Car batteries
  • Motorbikes
  • Car seats, tyres and wheels Builders bags
