For the first time, commuters in the South can now buy and store weekly season tickets on their phones as they return from the summer break.
This feature is available on Southern, Thameslink, and Gatwick Express services.
Previously, Govia Thameslink Railway couldn’t offer mobile season tickets due to concerns over barcode sharing, which posed a risk of ticket fraud.
With the new app, passengers can enjoy the convenience of scanning their tickets directly from their phone at station gates, eliminating the need to queue at ticket machines or offices.
