The South Downs National Park is launching its Dark Skies Season.

Astronomers say this region is one of the best locations to see the stars, and more recently, we’ve experienced the delights of the Northern Lights.

Park officials say they have a photography competition, new podcasts and a series of special night walks.

The location is a focal point for many interested in space due to its ultra-darkness and the brightness of the stars, moon, and other planets in our solar system.
