Worthing Businesses in bid to become a late night hub

Businesses on Ivy Arch Road and South Farm road want to extend their business hours

A number of Worthing venues are hoping to open until the early hours.

Music venue The Factory Live, in Ivy Arch Road, and Tops Pizza, in South Farm Road, have expressed their interest in extending their opening hours until 3am.

The music venue's current permission allows them to open between 8am and 11pm Sundays to Thursdays and until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.

The current licence also means it can sell alcohol between midday and closing time.

Now The Factory Live now wants to open alcohol between 8am and 11pm Sundays to Thursdays and also between 8am and 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Meanwhile Tops Pizza, which is located on 14 South Farm Road, used to be a Thai restaurant, they have also proposed later opening hours.

The takeaway recently opened on July 10th and has already applied to Worthing Borough Council for a new licence to open between midday and 3am, seven days a week.

EU Market, which is also on South Farm Road, hopes to open until 11pm, seven days a week.

Londis Churchills News on Montague Street, has also applied to the council to open and sell alcohol 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

It's current opening hours are between 7am and midnight, Sunday to Wednesday, and between 7am and 1am Thursdays to Saturdays.
