A Worthing woman who crashed her car through a lamppost and through a fence at a business premises while over the limit has been banned from driving.
Roxanne Benn was identified as the driver of a vehicle which crashed in South Farm Road last month.
The 24-year-old had been out with her friends drinking at a nightclub in the town, but still decided to drive home.
Having crashed her BMW she then left the scene but officers from the Roads Policing Unit were able to trace her to her home address.
She denied being the driver but was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving
Later, in custody, she tested for 65 microgrammes (mcg) of alcohol per 100 millilitres (ml) of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath.
She admitted she was the driver, and was charged with drink-driving, failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic accident, and failing to report a road traffic accident.
She now won't be allowed behind the wheel again for 18 months.
